Dress Regulations
Approved by the Captain’s Committee 30th August 2007
On the Course:-
Denim jeans, tracksuits, shell suits, cargo/combat trousers, T-shirts without collars or sleeves are NOT permitted.
Trousers tucked into socks are unacceptable; as are trainers, cricket boots or other footwear than recognised golf shoes. Tailored shorts 3/4 length trousers (i.e. Sewn Hems, zip or button fly and side pockets) may be worn. Long socks (not football) or sports socks of any colour (including trainer socks) may be worn with shorts. All shirts to be worn tucked in.
Changing:-
(Including just shoes) is not permitted in the car park or elsewhere, other than changing rooms.
In the Clubhouse:-
The Bar, Lounge and Dining Room, are intended as areas of relaxation for members, their guests and visitors. However, the following clothing is not suitable:-
a) Track suits, shell suits, collarless shirts, untailored shorts, denim jeans, cargo/combat trousers and training shoes.
b) No form of golf shoe may be worn in the Clubhouse, except locker rooms and in the stud bar. Bare or stockinged feet are not allowed.
c) The wearing of soiled clothing in the bar or restaurant must be avoided at all times.
This includes wet and muddy golf wear.
d) Socks do not have to be worn with sandals or deck shoes.
After 6.30pm, the minimum standard of dress required in the Dining Room is jacket and tie and tailored trousers.
Captain’s Committee members, the Secretary/Manager, the Bar and Catering, Course Manager and Professional Staff have authority to request any person improperly or unsuitably dressed to leave the Clubhouse or Course.
Ladies Summer Dress Code:-
· T-shirts without collars are not permitted.
· Shorts must be tailored and of an appropriate length.
· Short summer socks may be worn.
